Our founder, director and investor

She comes from a family of entrepreneurs who have roots from Punjab, India. with her clear mindset and vision she started Sometal to provide quality raw material for various recycling companies which are based in various Asian countries. Ms. Sween is known for her transparency and ethical business practices.

Director and CEO

Mr. Nitesh has more than 12 years of experience in the scrap trading Industry. Before joining hands with Sometal he was working as sales head for one of the biggest player in scrap trading business. In these 12 years Mr. Nitesh has developed very good rapport with all the major buyers and mill owners in India. His sensibility and knowledge about the industry is really helping Sometal achieve these volumes in the first year. He remains up to date with global trends in metal industryand his expertise and knowledge helps Sometal to survive and sustain in such volatile trade market.

senior Consultant

A first generation businessman from Rajasthan, India. He has vast experience into trading of various commodities be it natural stone from mines, timber from Africa or Scrap Metal. He has quality knowledge of mainly Non ferrous scrap items. The idea of starting a professional scrap sourcing company was guided and directed by Mr. Poonia.

Accounts Manager

Jyotsna holds credentials of being a very details-oriented accountant. In a very young age, she has experience of handling accounts of a multimillion turnover company. She understands technicalities of good accounting practices and helps Sometal in keeping the books up to date.

Operations Manager

Imran is a young and dynamic team member of Sometal. He is graduate from a reputed university in India. His enthusiasm and thirst to learn something new makes him an important part of the organization. He is responsible for all the logistics and documentation part of the Sometal.

Trader (South & North America)

Graduated in Economics from the University of the West of England (UWE Bristol – UK), Marvin is a commodity trader experienced on the Fibers, Ferrous and Non-Ferrous metals and Ore markets. Currently based in São Paulo – Brazil, he is responsible for the procurement and relationship management of commodity suppliers from the whole American continent.

Trader (USA)

A competent professional with over 30 years of rich experience & corporate exposure in senior roles interfacing with Customer Relationship Management, Administration, Logistics, Operations, Vendor Management, Process Auditing, Collections, Training as well as Team Management in the Insurance & Telecom Industry. Proficient knowledge of trading with a demonstrated history of working in the metals industry. Skilled in physical commodities trading.
